This is a historic hotel located right in the heart of downtown Mobile, Alabama. It's an old hotel but completely renovated inside with the Hilton standards. It has updated lighting, digital key, new furniture, and the bathroom although small it is functional. We stayed for one night at one of the standard deluxe room with a king-sized bed. Being a Hilton HHonors card holder I was able to choose my own room so we selected a corner room with a great view of the mobile bay and the interstate :). The city lights are pretty at night from the corner window. On the east side of the room is the nice Mobile Government Plaza building, would like to work in one of those offices with the big window facing south side with a great view of Mobile bay!
So here's the view on the east side of the room...
It's a little tight in the bathroom but it's functional. The room has modern furniture and fixtures. I like the wall paper and the contemporary design. Not so sure about the color of the carpeting, it gave me an impression of old carpet but upon closer look it's the color that makes it look that way. I also like how I can actually sit on the window sill to enjoy the view and from the bed .
The hotel bar is great...it was not busy when we went but the staff was great.
I booked the "Bed and Breakfast" rate. I do not like to get up early for breakfast so it was great that they served it up to 10:30 am.
I like this hotel and will stay again.
Stayed in at one of it's one bedroom suite with a king size bed and a balcony. The room is big and can accommodate around four to six people. There's only 3 of these rooms in this hotel. It will be the best room downtown during the Mardi Gras season!
The door opens up to the living area, to the right is a half bathroom and a closet on the left side.
Living area opens up to the balcony that gives you a great view of the Mobile downtown park.
The bedroom is separate and also a good size.
The full size bathroom has a separate shower and bathtub.
We enjoyed our stay with this hotel. It has a lot of modern features touch-screen temperature controls, digital key to enter room, does not lack for outlets and USB ports for charging phones, big screen TVs, and functional bedside lights. You have to use your digital or room key to access the parking lot and elevators.
The front desk was very helpful! I wouldn't mind staying at this hotel again. We actually booked a room for Mardi Gras season next year. I can't wait!

I use this card a lot. It's a great hotel rewards card. You can get up to 70,0000 Hilton HHonors points!
